QB Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills outlines the wide receivers in the 2024 NFL Draft that he is interested in.
In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills are probably going to select a wide receiver first overall.
The team released Deonte Harty and lost Gabe Davis and Trent Sherfield to free agency. Buffalo signed Curtis Samuel, a big name, and added depth with Mack Hollins to replace the trio. Although Samuel is anticipated to play a big part for Buffalo, the Bills may try to select their obvious Stefon Diggs successor at pick 28 or pick 60 in the draft.
The choice of who to add to the wide receiver room will ultimately be made by Brandon Beane, but Josh Allen should also be consulted by the Bills general manager. The starting quarterback for the Bills has his sights set on a few guys selected in this year’s draft.
During his appearance on “The QB Room Podcast,” former teammate Kyle Allen and his offseason QB coach Jordan Palmer questioned Allen on this year’s draft class. Kyle Allen explicitly enquired as to which receivers Buffalo’s franchise quarterback was most excited about this season. Following his praise of the top three receivers in the draft, Allen listed a few guys Buffalo might be able to select with one of their top two selections.
“How come I don’t like the guys who won’t probably be there? Allen told the hosts, “I think the top three guys are Malik Nabers, Rome Odunze, and Marvin Harrison Jr.; they’re three pretty great prospects.” Then you reach Adonai Mitchell, Bryan Thomas’s sort of second tier, if you will. Keon Coleman, Troy Franklin, Xavier Worthy, and Xavier Legette, I believe, are all present. Seeing these men in the combine—some huge, hefty, fast people—was impressive. It was quite remarkable to observe.
In 2024 and beyond, don’t be shocked if at least one of the athletes Allen listed manages to catch passes from the signal caller.
