Browns Are Supposed to Meet With An Interesting Quarterback Prospect
By now, the quarterback position should be secured for the Cleveland Browns.
But if there was one thing they learnt from the previous season, it was that depth is always a plus at the most crucial position in the game.
In light of this, it appears that they are investigating a relatively unknown prospect who may become available in the later rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Naturally, it assumes he isn’t selected in the first round due to the excitement around his outstanding pro day.
At his Pro Day on Wednesday, former Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton astounded everyone with some spectacular deep passes in front of reps from most of the league.
He celebrated a successful throw by doing a backflip, demonstrating his athleticism and confidence.
The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Devin Jackson reported on Twitter that Milton will visit with the Browns.
QB Joe Milton of Tennessee has just concluded his throwing practice. began indoors and finished outside to demonstrate his arm-off throwing against the wind. 4.56 seconds were run.
Though it’s unlikely that he will go as high as other quarterback prospects available, his strength and athleticism make a team want to give him a try.
There is still a chance that Milton will be the next former Volunteer quarterback to enter the professional ranks—Hendon Hooker was the first to do so last season, in the third round.
The Browns already have an abundance at the position, needless to say.
Even if they acquire him, Deshaun Watson is unlikely to play any position on the field next season because they have already added Jameis Winston and Tyler Huntley to a quarterback room that already had Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Watson is undoubtedly the starter.
