Good News: Just In Tennessee Volunteers Confirm Another Important The Signing

Adds All-American Rightside to Lady Vols Jack Malual.
“our staff is excited about the addition of Ajack to our roster this summer,” Rackham Watt stated. “We think she is a player with a lot of potential who could truly succeed in our program. On the other hand, she will be our right side’s point scorer because of her incredibly long and lightning-fast arm. She has played collegiate volleyball for two seasons and has extensive international experience. This summer, we want to add her to our relatively young team, and her experience will be crucial. We are eager for her to arrive at Rocky Top.”

Malual, an Italian native, competed for Chaminade in Division II during her first two years of college, totaling 539 kills.51 aces, 99 blocks, 192 digs, and 251 hitting. During her career, she recorded multiple aces 15 times, multiple blocks 25 times, and double-digit kills in a set 25 times.

After a great season as a sophomore in 2023, Malual was selected to the All-Pacific West Conference First Team and the AVCA All-America Third Team. On, she had 382 kills recorded.51 aces, 270 hits, 161 digs, 68 blocks, and 68 blocks were all significant increases over her rookie campaign. Despite not recording an ace during her first season on college, her 51 aces and 0.45 aces per set were both conference highs. In terms of points per set (4.12) and kills per set (3.35), she ranked fourth in the PacWest.

In 2022, Malual was named to the All-Pacific West Conference Second Team, assisted Chaminade in winning the conference, secured a trip to the NCAA West Regional Final, and finished the season with an AVCA national ranking according to the last poll. In 78 sets played, she finished her freshman year with 157 kills, 31 digs, and 31 blocks.

Malual was a member of the Italian U18 National Team and graduated from Tambosi ETI in Trento, Italy, before beginning her academic career.

Malual becomes the third transfer to enroll with the Lady Vols this offseason, following 2023 CAA Player of the Year from Towson, Nina Cajic, and outside hitter Hayden Kubik, who was regarded as the top overall recruit by PrepVolleyball.com in the 2022 class when she signed with Nebraska.
