Raiders of Las Vegas, DT Christian Wilkins Discusses Leaving the Miami Dolphins
Before joining the Silver and Black this summer, Christian Wilkins, a defensive tackle for the new Las Vegas Raiders, spent his first five NFL seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

Christian Wilkins, a defensive tackle, will soon begin his first campaign with the Las Vegas Raiders.

After playing his first five NFL seasons as a dominant defensive tackle with the Miami Dolphins, Wilkins signed a free agent contract with the Raiders this offseason.

Wilkins recently joined the “Third and Long” podcast, where he talked about leaving Miami.

“Obviously, it’s definitely like a, it’s just such a transition,” Wilkins stated. “I wanted nothing more than to make Miami a winner and give this city, these people, this organization what it truly deserved.”

Obviously, I had to devote a lot of my attention to it in order to at least fulfill my share. Whatever that was, I just tried to always do my part, put my best foot forward there, and put my heart and soul into everything while I was here with the Dolphins, whether it was from a leadership viewpoint, a playing standpoint, or a community standpoint.

“Obviously, things have changed since then; transferring to a new organization is difficult after investing so much in a group and an organization, but I firmly believe that I’m prepared for it. In addition to being a part of guys playing for me in order for me to spread my light in a different city and place, I’m looking forward to this new challenge and feel like it’s part of my purpose.

“Power Rangers go wherever it’s necessary to kick someone in the butt and anytime you need to stave off evil forces, and that’s exactly what they do. It makes no difference if it’s on Planet Phaedos or in Angel Grove. I know I’m getting a little nerdy about Power Rangers right now, but you have to follow along.

“… So, like I said, I’m definitely excited to be doing it another city, another location and another storied, historic organization and franchise, so I couldn’t ask to be in a better situation , and I’m just hitting the ground running and I’m locked in.”
