ESPN Report: Cincinnati Bengals In Talk To Sign Top Talented Auburn Tigers Star

Avery Jones, a center from Auburn, is of interest to the Bengals. Jones thinks he can play all three IOL positions.

The offensive line is one position group that the Cincinnati Bengals ought to be interested in improving whenever possible. Since joining the NFL in 2020, Joe Burrow has been one of the most-sacked quarterbacks in the history of the position.

That has to change, and Cincinnati made an effort to do it by making significant free agency purchases last offseason. However, the Bengals’ offensive line continued to play below par, so those bodyguards weren’t quite enough to make a difference.

It should so once more focus on the offensive line in the NFL Draft. Center Avery Jones, who played three seasons for East Carolina before completing his NCAA career with the Tigers, is a player that the Bengals are interested in, according to Justin Melo of The Draft Network.

Melo reports that Jones feels capable of playing all three interior offensive line spots, which would raise his profile. Being versatile is crucial, particularly considering how many injuries are at stake during most seasons.

Following eight games with the Tigers in the previous season, Jones participated in 11 games with the Pirates in 2022. Cincinnati may consider Jones, particularly if they genuinely think he can play both guard and center.
