Auburn is in serious need of assistance, and it is on its way. Former Arkansas State player Keyron Crawford has committed to transfer to Auburn. He made just two visits through the transfer portal process, on Sunday and Monday.
Regarding his selection, Crawford cited “the atmosphere.” “And pretty much where I am at the moment. I think I’m well-positioned to succeed in this defense. I think I’ll be able to succeed with other males, for sure. Happy. incredibly fortunate. Everyone is really fortunate, including my mom. It’s a wonderful feeling.”
He attended Arkansas State for his first two years of collegiate football. As a freshman, he recorded 14 tackles and one sack; as a sophomore, he went on to record 44 tackles, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. He had two years left of eligibility when he logged onto the portal on Tuesday.
During the spring transfer window, Auburn was looking for additional assistance at buck linebacker. With Crawford, who can also play at the 5-tech, they have found it. Hugh Freeze was the head coach of Briarcrest Christian, where Crawford, who is 6-foot-4 and 243 pounds, played high school ball. Crawford is from Memphis, Tennessee.

Following the acquisition of former USC defensive tackle Isaiah Raikes and former Indiana defensive tackle Philip Blidi, Crawford is the third addition made during the spring transfer portal window.
