Sad News: Just In Top Miami Hurricanes Star Confirm He Wants To Leave

Kyshawn George, a freshman guard for the Miami Hurricanes, announced on Thursday to ESPN that he is planning to join the 2024 NBA Draft following 16 starts in college.

The 6-foot-8 Swiss native George is expected to be selected in the first round. He informed ESPN that in order to be eligible for the June 26–27 draft, he is engaging an agency, forgoing his remaining academic eligibility, and filing the necessary paperwork.

George told ESPN, “I made the decision to pursue my basketball dream and make it a reality.” “I did not expect anything from this season besides working on my game and getting better every day.”

In 31 games, George had an average of 7.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 23 minutes. He had a 42.6 percent field goal percentage, a 40.8 percent long-range percentage, and a 77.8 percent foul line percentage. According to ESPN, he gained 10 inches in the last five years and was able to demonstrate his ability to play defense and shoot from outside the field while starting at point guard for the Hurricanes.
“I was able to show NBA teams that I’m a versatile player who could impact the game on both sides of the floor and a good teammate,” George said on ESPN. We’re only getting a small taste of what I’m capable of in the future; I’m still getting used to my new physique. I could demonstrate and do so much more.”
