Good News: Just In Another Top Experienced Star Confirm To Commit To Georgia Bulldogs

Potential basketball for Syracuse Georgia gets Dakota Leffew’s commitment.
New York City, Syracuse Move of Mount St. Mary’s Dakota Leffew said on Saturday morning that he would play his last year of collegiate basketball at Georgia.

After committing to the Bulldogs last week, Leffew, a 6-foot-5 guard who averaged 17.6 points per game and shot 37% from three-point range, will move to Georgia to rejoin his Mount teammate De’Shayne Montgomery.

Leffew, a Hampton, Georgia native, ranked Syracuse among his top four teams when he visited earlier this month. Leffew visited Georgia for the final time as a recruiter on Monday. Dan Engelstad, the head coach at Mount St. Mary’s, was recently hired by Syracuse as an assistant coach to take Gerry McNamara’s place.

Leffew made his choice three days after 6-foot-6 Brooklyn point guard Jaquan Carlos committed to Syracuse.

With the transfer portal scheduled to conclude on May 1, the Orange roster for 2024–25 looks like this:

Guards: Kyle Cuffe, Elijah Moore, Chance Westry, JJ Starling, and Carlos

Chris Bell, Jyare Davis, and Donnie Freeman are the forwards/wings.

Eddie Lampkin Jr. and Naheem McLeod are the centers.

Players who are on the portal by May 1st have until almost the beginning of fall semesters to enroll in classes and commit to a program. The portal closes on that date.
