The New Orleans Saints concluded the 2024 NFL draft with a notable addition to their roster, selecting Josiah Ezirim, an offensive tackle from Eastern Kentucky, at Pick 239. Standing tall at 6’6’’ and weighing 329 pounds, Ezirim boasts an impressive RAS score of 8.50, a factor highly valued by the Saints in their player selection process.
Ezirim’s journey to the offensive line began in 2022 when he transitioned from the defensive line during his tenure with the Colonels. Over the course of four years, he amassed considerable experience, logging 1,392 offensive snaps.
Despite his size and agility, Ezirim allowed only two sacks throughout his collegiate career, both occurring in the 2022 season.
His outstanding performance on the field did not go unnoticed, earning him recognition as first-team All-UAC and the conference’s Offensive Lineman of the Year. With this strategic pick, the Saints aim to bolster their offensive line, leveraging Ezirim’s talent and potential to contribute significantly to their team dynamics in the upcoming seasons.
