The Jets have moved up to No. 171 in a pick swap with the Eagles. With the 185th and 190th picks, New York will send the Philadelphia Eagles to choose quarterback Jordan Travis of Florida State.
After the first round, Travis is the second quarterback to hear his name called. The other six quarterbacks who went off the board in the first 12 selections had to wait a long time. The soon-to-be 24-year-old was considered a Day 3 option because of his impressive tenure with the Seminoles, but he also had upside.
Travis assumed the top spot on the depth chart in 2020 and went on to achieve personal achievement as well as lead the team to tremendous heights. Over time, the Louisville transfer’s accuracy improved little by little, and his movement resulted in significant on-field production as well. Travis’ performance helped Florida State rank among the best teams in the country in 2023.
