Linebacker Jett Bush of the Texas Longhorns has signed a contract with the New England Patriots.

AUSTIN: Linebacker Jett Bush of the Texas Longhorns signed an undrafted free agency contract even though he wasn’t chosen among the 11 ‘Horns in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The news that Bush had inked a UDFA contract with the New England Patriots was released by the official Texas football account on Twitter, X.

In the hopes of making the 53-man roster, he will now get an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities to the coaching staff during training camp.

Texas was Bush’s college team for all five of his playing seasons. With two sacks, a 43-yard interception return for a score, and a career-high 17 total tackles, the Houston native enjoyed the greatest season of his career last year.

If Bush makes the 53-man roster for New England, he’ll get the opportunity to learn from first-year head coach Jerod Mayo, who succeeds the illustrious Bill Belichick.

In 2020 and 2021, Bush spent two seasons as a Texas player alongside Patriots safety Brenden Schooler. Now, the two will be back together for New England’s offseason activities.
