Football player Jay Fair, a transfer from Auburn, has committed to USC.
USC uses the NCAA Transfer Portal to offer more offensive support.
Jay Fair, a wide receiver transferred from Auburn, committed to USC football on Sunday, giving the team more offensive firepower. After spending this weekend in Southern California, Fair pledges to the Trojans. Fair still has two years left to be eligible.
As a starter out of the slot last season, the 5-foot-10, 175-pound Fair led the Auburn receiver group with 31 receptions for 324 yards (third on the team) and two touchdowns. With 14 receptions for 174 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers’ opening three games, he got off to a fast start. Pro Football Focus gave him an overall rating of 68.3 at the end of the season.
Fair will complement Zachariah Branch, an outstanding speedster, with an outrageous deep threat. Fair participated in Auburn’s spring game and caught one ball on five targets for six yards.
Together with former Trojan receiver Kyle Ford of UCLA and Florida State defensive back Greedy Vance Jr., Fair is the third transfer pledge and second receiver selected in the spring window.
