After the draft, the New Orleans Saints add Justin Herron and Shane Lemieux to increase their offensive line depth.
The New Orleans Saints selected a new offensive lineman with their first-round selection. They are currently adding through free agency. They reportedly added two offensive linemen on Monday afternoon through the veteran pool.
According to Nick Underhill, the Saints signed OL Shane Lemieux and Justin Herron.
According to a source, offensive lineman Shane Lemieux and Justin Herron are joining the Saints.
Lemieux works as a security guard. During his NFL career, Herron has played overtime. Together, Lemieux and Herron have made 43 appearances in games and 23 starts for the pros.
At both positions, New Orleans needs as much depth as possible. Since James Hurst’s retirement, there hasn’t been any rekindling of his relationship with Andrus Peat. It’s unclear right now whether Ryan Ramczyk will play this season; they may be waiting for an update on his health.
Lemieux was an All-American at Oregon in the past. The New York Giants selected him in the 2020 draft, and he made nine starts for them that season. His play has been curtailed since then as a result of several serious injuries.
In 2024, the Saints are hoping he can maintain his health and provide them with a possible starting guard.
