Anquon Fegans, a Thompson High School alumnus from Alabaster, Alabama, has gotten numerous offers to play collegiate football. Programs like Georgia, Alabama, Washington, Miami, and others are very interested in the 4-star safety in addition to Auburn.
Fegans has been a top target for the Auburn football team for a while now. Fegans was pledged to USC for a period until decommitting in August of 2023. He was ranked as the #3 safety in the recruiting class of 2025 and the #2 recruit out of the state of Alabama.
He visited the Plains in February and March of this year, on one of his many journeys there. Charles Kelly, Auburn’s defensive coordinator, and Wesley McGriff, the cornerbacks coach, have been the main recruiters of this player. Fegans stated to Auburn Rivals that while there isn’t a standout prospect in his class, Auburn football is unquestionably among his top three.
But Fegans’ father thinks the Tigers are better than the other programs trying to get his son’s attention because of the bonds they’ve been making with the coaching staff, according to Steve Wiltfong of On3 Sports. Fegans claims that factors other than football will play a role in his recruitment.
Fegans stated, “I mean, like, just take football out of it,” according to Auburn Rivals. “The people, that town, the people are just great and the people just treat you as one of theirs.”
Fegans may be planning an official trip to the Plains this autumn in addition to his summer appointments to Georgia, Clemson, Miami, and Washington, according to 247 Sports. He did admit that he does not have a deadline for his choice, but it might happen at any time, whenever it makes him feel most at ease.
