The defensive lineman from within the state is being recruited by Georgia to join the Bulldogs in 2025.
Christian Garrett is aware of when he will reveal his ultimate choice to everyone.
Please put July 20 on your calendars.
After making his formal visit, the defensive lineman from Prince Avenue (Ga.) will select his preferred university this summer. Garrett has successfully reduced the number of potential recruits to a final four for those trips.
Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee are those four. He plans to travel in that sequence on his official visits in June. Garrett’s term at Clemson will last from May 31 to June. Next, he will visit Georgia from June 7–9. From June 14–16, Georgia Tech was awarded the third stop. He will make his last trip to Tennessee on June 21–23.
Here’s what Dawgs247 was told by Garrett regarding each of those four.
Clemson: “I’ve always had a great relationship with Clemson, both as a student and as a spectator of their coaching. Compared to other colleges, I believe I’ve gotten to know them better.”
Georgia: “As I’ve mentioned in each of our previous interviews, I think Georgia speaks for itself. Their hometown team follows all the proper procedures, hires quality players, and develops them both on and off the field. Georgia, they are currently on par with the X-factor. They demonstrate their ability to construct you in the desired manner.”
Georgia Tech: “After Coach [Jess] Simpson arrived in January, they really got off to a great start. I’ve learned a great deal about him. What he can do, I know. I’ve seen some figures and statistics and how, in such a short amount of time, they manage their boys and their relationship with them. Sometimes their attack isn’t even able to match their defensive strategies and methods of recruitment.”
Tennessee: “I’m in love with Tennessee. I have a satisfying connection. Coaches [Josh Heupel] and [Rodney] Garner have the best relationships I have up there. It has been a significant factor. Naturally, Coach Garner has a history of inserting D-linemen into the league and doing similar things.”
Regarding Georgia, Garrett recently had the opportunity to visit the state for a spring practice, and the experience lived up to the expectations.
“You always hear about Georgia practices, but when you go, the intensity level is different,” Garrett stated. “You can see they bring the best out of their players every day, and they come to work every day.”
For the most of his recruiting process, Garrett was acquainted with Tray Scott, the defensive line coach at Georgia.
The 290-pound, 6-foot-4 defensive lineman gave a humorous explanation of why he thinks Garrett is ready to start class.
“Coach Scott has always told me that he is always there to wait for me. He is aware of my importance. He once said to me, “I’m just waiting for it to go.” “I’m waiting on O while I sit on G,” Garrett remarked. That merely confirmed to me that they value me and that I have a solid plan in place for the future. They’re waiting on me, like I mentioned. They desire me, I know that. I understand that it simply need time to sort everything out and give each school an opportunity.”
