Done Deal: Just In New Orleans Saints Confirm Another Signing Of Offensive Lineman

What you should know about the new offensive lineman for the Saints.
Kyle Hergel, an offensive lineman from Boston College, was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent. He is one of the Saints’ fifteen UDFAs.

Hergal attended Texas State in 2021–2022 and North Dakota in 2018–2021 before enrolling at Boston College.

During that time, he has made 54 career starts, giving up just five sacks and 32 pressures. Hergel is a center fielder who specializes in playing on the inside and even played center during the East-West Shrine Bowl. In addition to becoming an All-ACC honorable mention in 2023, he was selected the FCS newcomer of the year in 2019 and the All-Sun Belt second team and third team in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

The 6′ 2″ native of Toronto weights 315 pounds. The Saskatchewan Roughriders selected Hergel third overall in the 2024 Canadian Football League draft. According to scouting reports, Hergal possesses strong awareness, a natural leverage, and a desire for physicality. First look at the Canadian will come during rookie minicamp, which is place from May 10–12.
