Good News: Just In Cleveland Browns Confirm The Signing Of Another Star

Veteran Center Signed By Browns To Roster
This offseason, the Cleveland Browns have been busy, adding offensive and defensive linemen to their roster.

The franchise selected defensive tackles Michael Hall Jr. and Jowon Briggs with three of its six draft choices in the 2024 NFL Draft; Cleveland selected guard Zak Zinter in the third round.

The team’s congested offensive linemen room now boasts a third center.

Brian Allen, a seasoned center, was signed by the team on Monday, according to their official Twitter account. Allen becomes the 13th lineman the team has added in the 2024 offseason on either side.

Allen has spent his whole playing career with the Los Angeles Rams and is currently in his sixth season.

Allen was selected by Los Angeles in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. During his 52-game tenure as a Ram, Allen started 30 of them.

As a starter on the offensive line that helped the Rams win Super Bowl LVI and earn a Pro Bowl berth that season, Allen adds Super Bowl experience to the team.

Allen only played in five games in 2022 due to injuries to his thumb and knee, and he did not suit up for the squad in 2023.

Allen played in 51 games during his time at Michigan State, starting 38 of them at three different positions. He was selected to the Big Ten Conference’s second team three times in a row.

Allen joins veterans Germain Ifedi, Roy Mbaeteka, and Hakeem Adeniji as the sixth offensive lineman the Browns have signed in the offseason.

To complete the group of incoming lineman, the Browns also signed undrafted free agent linemen Lorenzo Thompson and Javion Cohen.
