Security The two-time Pro Bowler Justin Simmons is arguably the best player still available on the free agent market and may soon sign with a new team.
A new home for four-time Second-Team All-Pro Justin Simmons should not be far off, as the free agent market is beginning to heat up. All 32 rosters are beginning to take shape after the 2024 NFL Draft, and teams are vying for the remaining free agents to shore up any further weaknesses on their rosters. Odell Beckham and DJ Chark have already signed new contracts; Simmons, though playing a different position, is a far superior player than those two.
The moment the Denver Broncos took on a record-breaking amount of dead money to free up Russell Wilson, they embraced a rebuild. Even though Justin Simmons is still a valuable player, the Broncos were forced to release him as a free agency in order to take advantage of the extra money that was saved. Despite the fact that he is about to be 31, Simmons was recognized as a Second-Team All-Pro and was selected to the Pro Bowl the previous season. These five teams could use a safety, and he can still be an above-average starter for a contender.
Justin Simmons, a free agent, may soon sign with a new team.

Saints of New Orleans
Enough for the New Orleans Saints to enter the Justin Simmons free agent lottery is their belief that they are contenders. After selecting Alabama’s Kool-Aid McKinstry in the second round to fill their cornerback need, the squad is now in need of a safety. Tyrann Mathieu will be able to spend more time in the box if Simmons plays free safety, as he is a natural fit for this system. With Marshon Lattimore, Mathieu, McKinstry, and Simmons in the mix, New Orleans might have one of the better football secondaries in the league.
