After making their second trade in less than a day, Atlanta’s front office is in the mood to haggle today.
The Atlanta Braves made a trade with the Angels earlier on Thursday in order to shift Luis Guillorme to more favorable circumstances in an effort to slightly reorganize their squad.
Guillorme wasn’t playing much anyhow, and David Fletcher will fill in as the Braves’ bench utility infielder. The Braves’ acquisition of both players in the summer last year was always a little strange, but everything worked out in the end.
Still, it seems like the Braves believed they needed another questionable-value infield player. They were eager to swing a trade with the Red Sox for infielder Zack Short even though they didn’t want to wait until the end of the day.
