Latest Bama Football News: Just In Alabama Confirm To Secure Another Top Sensational Star From Transfer Portal

King Mack, a former Penn State safety, has joined Alabama via the transfer site.
The third time is lucky: King Mack, a former Penn State safety, provides Alabama’s secondary with further assistance.
Alabama needed assistance in the secondary when it opened the spring NCAA transfer portal window. It added former Penn State safety King Mack as a third defensive back on Friday.

Coming out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida’s St. Thomas Aquinas High School, the freshman was a four-star prospect. Last season, he played in all 13 games, mostly on special teams. He recorded three tackles and one pressure in 70 defensive snaps.

King weighs 190 pounds and is 5 feet 10 inches tall.

Alabama has already strengthened its secondary, which was severely impacted by attrition following the previous season, by adding former Wake Forest cornerback DaShawn Jones and former Charlotte defensive back Kam Howard this spring.

Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry, the starting cornerback for the Tide, were selected in the NFL draft. Following Nick Saban’s retirement, Trey Amos, Earl Little, and Caleb Downs, a freshman all-American and starting nickel back, were transferred.

Tony Mitchell and Peyton Woodyard, two defensive backs, also went via the transfer portal after spring practice.

Coach Kalen DeBoer stated last month on The Next Round, “It’s just about bringing in some guys that can help our program, help our team be better, give us some depth and with special teams.” “You’d love to have some guys that can continue to come up through the program and develop.”

Prior to the arrival of Howard, Jones, and Mack, Alabama’s secondary depth chart was crowded with unfamiliar names.

Security Projected starters are cornerback Domani Jackson (previously of USC) and linebacker Keon Sabb (formerly of Michigan).

Five-star talents Zabien Brown, Zay Mincey, and Jaylen Mbakwe, who are true freshmen, enrolled early and are anticipated to compete for playing time.
