Done Deal: Houston Texans Confirm The Signing Of Another Top Experienced Star

Ben Skowronek is traded by Rams to Texans.
1,000 Oaks, California – The Houston Texans received a 2026 6th-round pick from the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday in exchange for wide receiver Ben Skowronek and a 2026 7th-round pick.

Skowronek was a regular special teams player for the Rams during his three seasons in Los Angeles, appearing in 45 games with 12 starts. He was also a member of the 2021 squad that won Super Bowl LVI.

In terms of offensive production, his best year occurred in 2022, when he hauled in 39 passes for 376 yards and added a 17-yard touchdown run. His spectacular sideline catch against the Raiders on Thursday Night Football, which assisted in setting up Baker Mayfield’s game-winning touchdown pass to Van Jefferson, was another highlight of that season.

After being chosen as the team captain on special teams for the first time the previous season, Skowronek played in all 17 games of the regular season and the Rams’ wild card playoff matchup against the Lions. In addition, he scored his first NFL receiving touchdown.

The Rams selected him in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. In three seasons, he totaled 22 tackles, three carries for 26 yards and one touchdown, and 58 receptions for 575 yards and one touchdown.
