Good News: Just In Another Top Veteran Star Confirm To Signed With Las Vegas Raiders

Raiders Complete Draft Class and Sign OL Jackson Powers-Johnson.
Jackson Powers-Johnson, a second-round pick, signed his rookie contract, the Raiders announced on Monday. Consequently, all eight draft picks of the organization are currently bound to their rookie NFL contracts.
One of the best interior blockers available in 2024 was Powers-Johnson, but the offensive tackle class was the main attraction. Throughout the previous two seasons, the Oregon product started every game and became one of college football’s most highly respected interior linemen.

In 2022, Powers-Johnson played a lot of right guard, whereas he was only employed as a center in the previous campaign. That led to a fantastic season for the 6-3, 328-pound athlete, who became the first player from the Pac-12 to win the Rimington Trophy as the nation’s best center. In addition, he received unanimous first-team All-American recognition, which improved his draft standing.

On the first day of the draft, only one center, Graham Barton, had his name called; however, Powers-Johnson, like Zach Frazier, was chosen in the second round. All three guys will probably see starting duties in their rookie campaigns, although Powers-Johnson is expected to begin his NFL career at right guard. Last season, the Raiders used Greg Van Roten in that role; however, he is not currently signed.

Cody Whitehair, an inside blocker with starting experience, has joined the Vegas team. Andrus Peat, who inked a contract last week and has experience at both guard and tackle, is another player that fits this description. Along with Powers-Johnson, those veterans will provide head coach Antonio Pierce with a variety of combinations to think about during training camp.
