Breaking News: Auburn earns the commitment of Northwestern State transfer safety Of Top Talented Superstar

Although Hugh Freeze and his staff have completed the majority of Auburn’s work during the spring transfer portal session, they remain amenable to the notion of acquiring a defensive back.

Antwon Fegans Jr., a former safety for Northwestern State and Arkansas State, declared his commitment to Auburn in a social media post on Wednesday night, giving the Tigers hope that they have found the right player.
Fegans Jr., a 3-star prospect from Oxford, Alabama, received offers from Arkansas, Mississippi State, UAB, and other schools. However, he chose to begin his career at Arkansas State, where he played in just four games over two seasons before transferring to Northwestern State.

Fegans Jr. had six appearances in six games for Northwestern State during the 2022–2023 season, five of which were in the fall of last year.

Fegans Jr. will have three years left on his eligibility when he gets to Auburn.

Fegans Jr. not only gives the Tigers’ defensive backfield more depth, but he also forges a bond between Auburn and his younger brother, Anquon Fegans, a 4-star safety in the class of 2025 who is being sought after by the team.
