He says, “Go Bills,” when the Buffalo Bills sign him to play on their offensive line.
WKBW — ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. With his name on both the front and back of his jersey, Keaton Bills has became the first player in Buffalo Bills franchise history to do so. Before the Bills called, the native of Utah played for the Utes for five years, and now his dream has come true.
“It’s checked every mark and box I could ever fill and figure out now that I’m here,” Bills said to 7 Sports. “So, being here is just awesome.”
Bills signed a contract after the 2024 NFL Draft as a priority free agent. On day three, he stated it was difficult to not hear his name called, but he feels he ended up where he was meant to be.
It’s a dream come true, you know that. You know, you watch the draft and you get sort of broken when you don’t get selected, but when that call comes in, you still get to be a member of the team and get the chance to realize your dream. I’m ecstatic and I adore it here.”
Bills is prepared for the task even though he is aware that his path is not easy. The next few months are crucial for any undrafted rookie trying to establish a reputation, but Keaton is already ahead in that regard.
“To be honest, this entire week has been kind of hectic. Whenever you hear anything about Bills, I tend to just appear and look around. I’m so used to that being me, but I’m happy that now I can be a part of a whole community. The Bills Mafia is fantastic, and I love that I can kind of just fit right in—it’s in the name, so it’s great.”
This week at Orchard Park, Bills and his Bills teammates will start their OTAs. Their three weeks of exercise are followed by a required short camp that starts in mid-June.
