Good News: Denver Broncos Confirm The Signing Of Another Top Experienced Star

**Report: Broncos Sign Former Dolphins Safety Brandon Jones to $20M Deal**

The Denver Broncos have bolstered their roster with the addition of former Miami Dolphins safety Brandon Jones, as reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. This marks their first major signing in the 2024 NFL free agency period.

According to Jordan Schultz from The Score, Jones’ three-year contract is valued at up to $22.5 million, with a base salary of $20 million and $12.5 million guaranteed.

Expressing his gratitude on social media platform X, Jones wrote, “Truly wouldn’t trade these last 4 years for anything. Forever grateful for the Dolphins organization for taking a chance on a kid from Nacogdoches, Texas that wanted nothing more than to live out his childhood dreams of playing in the NFL. Denver… LFG,” confirming his move to Denver.

Jones, a third-round pick from Texas in 2020, played in 54 games for the Dolphins, starting in 30 of them. His stats include 151 solo tackles, 12 tackles-for-loss, 14 quarterback hits, nine pass breakups, eight sacks, four forced fumbles, and three interceptions.

At 25, Jones ranked 16th out of 95 safeties in Pro Football Focus’ evaluations last season, scoring well in both coverage (76.2) and pass-rushing (75.7).

Jones is expected to fill the starting position left by Justin Simmons, whom the Broncos released last week. He will join fellow University of Texas alum P.J. Locke, who the Broncos re-signed before free agency began.
