**Former FSU DT Braden Fiske Signs with Los Angeles Rams**
Former Florida State defensive tackle Braden Fiske has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Rams. Florida State had a standout 2023 season, achieving remarkable success under head coach Mike Norvell in his fourth year. Many FSU players were selected during the 2024 NFL Draft, showcasing the program’s talent and development.
Braden Fiske, who transferred from Western Michigan to FSU last offseason, was a key acquisition for the Seminoles. Initially, there were questions about his role, especially with veteran defensive tackle Fabien Lovett Sr. returning for his senior season. However, Lovett’s injury in the season opener against LSU allowed Fiske to gain more playing time, which proved beneficial for the team’s depth and health throughout the season.
During his time at Western Michigan, Fiske recorded 148 total tackles (27 for loss) and 13.5 sacks over four seasons. At FSU, he became an integral part of the defensive line, complementing standout defensive ends Jared Verse and Patrick Payton. Fiske’s performance peaked in the ACC Championship Game against Louisville, where he had nine total tackles (4.5 for loss) and three sacks.
Fiske’s impressive stats and outstanding NFL Scouting Combine results led to his selection by the Rams with the 39th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, reuniting him with former teammate Jared Verse. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the details of Fiske’s contract with the Rams.
FSU’s success in developing players like Fiske serves as a powerful recruiting tool for the coaching staff. While Tallahassee might not have the glamour of cities like Miami or Los Angeles, Norvell and his team can emphasize their track record of player development and the potential for life-changing opportunities.
Excitement is high to see these former Seminoles players make their mark in the NFL.
