Latest News: Just In Milwaukee Brewers Confirm Another Top Experienced fans favorite Star Injured

A low back strain has put Brewers pitcher Joe Ross on the injured list.
MIAMI – Due to a low back strain, right-hander Joe Ross of the Milwaukee Brewers was placed on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday.

In Monday night’s series opener between the Miami Marlins and the NL Central-leading Brewers, Ross only lasted one inning. After employing seven relievers, the Brewers lost 3-2 in ten innings.

“I felt like I was throwing well,” Ross said on Tuesday. “Definitely frustrating.” “Frustrating because I want to go out there and pitch when my name is called.”

After spending five seasons splitting time between starting and relieving roles with the Washington Nationals, the 31-year-old Ross is now in his debut season with the Brewers. Ross, who is 2-4 with a 4.50 ERA, has been a mainstay in the Brewers’ rotation for the first seven weeks of the season.

It doesn’t appear to be a severe issue. It seems to be bothering me,” Brewers manager Pat Murphy remarked. “You get it under control and he’ll be back.”

To replace Ross on the roster, Milwaukee brought up right-hander Tobias Myers from Triple-A Nashville.
