Recent Wide Receiver Decommitment Still Considering LSU Football
The recruitment journey continues for Dakorien Moore, a recent LSU wide receiver decommitment. Despite reopening his recruitment, Moore plans to visit Baton Rouge this summer for an official visit.
Moore, a five-star wide receiver, initially decommitted after visits to Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas. This led to speculation that LSU was no longer in contention. Moore even announced plans to return to those three schools for official visits, seemingly sidelining LSU.
However, LSU’s prospects may be improving. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound standout from Duncanville, TX, has now indicated he will visit Baton Rouge for an official visit on June 7.
Ranked as the No. 3 player nationally and the No. 1 wide receiver in the class of 2025 by On3, Moore is participating in the On3 Elite Series, an event aimed at helping future college football stars navigate NIL opportunities. The event also features top recruits, including LSU commitments Bryce Underwood and Harlem Berry.
Moore’s decommitment was a significant setback for coach Brian Kelly and LSU, who were aiming to assemble a top-tier offensive recruiting class. However, the news of Moore’s potential visit keeps LSU in the running.
In addition to Moore, LSU is targeting other elite wide receivers like four-star CJ Wiley and five-stars Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett, all of whom are also attending the NIL event.
