USC 5-Star Edge Commit Plans Official Visit to FSU: ‘They’re Still a Top Contender’
The nation’s top-ranked Edge prospect, Isaiah Gibson from Warner Robbins, Georgia, has scheduled an official visit to Florida State on October 5, when the Seminoles face Clemson at Doak Campbell Stadium. Despite committing to USC in March, several top programs, including FSU, are still vying for Gibson’s commitment.
When asked if FSU remains a strong contender, Gibson affirmed, “I would say so, they’re still a top contender.”
In the coming month, Gibson has a packed schedule with six official visits: Georgia on May 31, South Carolina on June 7, Auburn on June 12, Tennessee on June 14, Ohio State on June 18, and Oklahoma on June 21.
Florida State was among the first major programs to recruit Gibson. The 6-foot-4, 245-pound prospect has visited FSU multiple times, with his most recent visit in April.
The Seminoles are primarily recruiting Gibson as a defensive tackle.
