Alabama Aiming to Secure Kalen DeBoer’s First Five-Star Recruit for 2025**
Alabama is actively pursuing its first five-star recruit of 2025 under head coach Kalen DeBoer, who is making a strong start on the 2025 recruiting trail. This will be DeBoer’s first full recruiting class with the Crimson Tide.
As of now, Alabama’s 2025 class is ranked No. 8 nationally by 247Sports, with 10 solid commitments, including six four-star recruits.
DeBoer has yet to coach a game for Alabama or secure a five-star recruit, but the program is showing positive signs in that direction.
Dijon Lee, a five-star cornerback from Mission Viejo, Calif., recently had an official visit to Tuscaloosa, which left a strong impression. “It went good. It was a great visit,” Lee told BamaOnline. “Connecting with the coaches really well. I had a great time out there.
Connected really well with the players. Got to know Zabien Brown a little bit better. Talked with Domani [Jackson]. I just had a great visit.”
Zabien Brown, a freshman at Alabama, committed as a five-star cornerback last cycle, while Domani Jackson, another five-star cornerback, transferred from USC to join the Nick Saban to DeBoer transition.
Lee has also visited Washington, Texas A&M, and Georgia but is impressed with Alabama’s development potential. “I’ve seen a couple of players that go to the school now, like Zabien… I’ve just seen him improve a lot ever since he got there,” Lee noted.
On3 currently predicts an 87 percent chance that Lee will choose Alabama. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Lee is the No. 4 cornerback in the 2025 class.
