Official Giants News: Just In New York Giants Confirm The Signing Of Another Top Experienced Star

Tyler Nubin signed his rookie contract with the New York Giants on Friday, becoming the last of the team’s six 2024 draft picks to finalize their deals. Nubin, a second-round pick and former Minnesota Golden Gophers safety, has been on the Giants’ radar for two years, according to Assistant GM Brandon Brown.

Brown praised Nubin for his football instincts, ability to take the ball away, and strong character. He acknowledged that while some had concerns about Nubin’s speed, the Giants were confident in his abilities based on his performance and extensive scouting.

“When he came here for his physical, I gave him a big hug,” Brown said. “I feel like I got my favorite food on discount because the tape speaks for itself. He has one of those personalities where he can become like the alphas of alphas, and he’s a young man with a grown mindset. Happy he’s here.”

Nubin’s contract, set by the Collective Bargaining Agreement, is a four-year deal worth $8.176 million, including a $2.766 million signing bonus.
