Breaking: Elite class of 2026 QB Panning Trip To Baton Rouge Later This Month

Elite Class of 2026 Quarterback Plans Visit to Baton Rouge This Month**

An elite class of 2026 quarterback, Dia Bell, has announced plans to visit LSU later this month, according to Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports. This visit comes amid the official visit season for top 2025 recruits, but younger players like Bell are also making the most of their summer breaks.

Historically, LSU football hasn’t been renowned for producing elite quarterbacks, but recent Heisman Trophy winners Joe Burrow (2019) and Jayden Daniels (2023) have changed that narrative. This success has boosted LSU’s reputation for developing high-level quarterbacks and has positively impacted their recruiting efforts.

Since coach Brian Kelly took over the Tigers’ program, LSU has secured commitments from several top-tier quarterbacks, including Rickie Collins (four-star, class of 2023), Colin Hurley (four-star, class of 2024), and Bryce Underwood (five-star, class of 2025). Now, the program is focusing on the future with plans to host Dia Bell, ranked No. 10 nationally and No. 3 among quarterbacks in his class according to the 247Sports Composite.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, Bell is known for his precise ball placement and athleticism. Despite not being the most physically imposing player, his skills have earned him a high ranking. Additionally, he excelled as a freshman on the American Heritage High School basketball team in Fort Lauderdale, FL, averaging 20.7 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game.

In addition to LSU, Bell is scheduled to visit Florida State and Ohio State later this month. He has already visited several other top programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Miami, Penn State, Texas, and Utah. As of now, Penn State is the favorite to secure his commitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. However, with 13 teams having a 3.6 percent or better chance, it may be some time before a clear leader emerges.
