**Titans QB Named Trade Candidate**
The Tennessee Titans are facing a potential trade situation with quarterback Malik Willis. With a crowded quarterback room that includes Will Levis, Mason Rudolph, and Malik Willis, the team may need to make some tough decisions.
Willis, drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, finds himself as the longest-tenured quarterback on the team. However, the recent addition of Levis, a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and the free-agent signing of Rudolph, have left Willis as the most likely candidate to be traded.
Bleacher Report suggests that trading Willis would be a wise move for the Titans. “Frankly, Willis deserves at least some glimmer of an opportunity—and that isn’t coming in Tennessee. In a league where quarterbacks are king, his talent alone is worth another roll of the dice,” writes Bleacher Report. “And a draft pick is more valuable to the Titans than gluing Willis to the bench or relegating him to the practice squad.”
The arrival of Levis and Rudolph has significantly reduced Willis’s chances of becoming a backup this season. Despite his strong arm and considerable talent, the opportunities for Willis with the Titans appear limited.
Finding a new team for Willis might be challenging, especially since six teams recently drafted quarterbacks in the top 12 picks. However, sometimes a fresh start and a change of scenery are exactly what a player needs to succeed. Trading Willis could benefit both him and the Titans, providing him with a better opportunity to showcase his skills while allowing the Titans to gain valuable draft capital.
