### Thompson’s D’Marion Terrell Commits to Auburn

The Thompson Warriors have seen significant success in athletics recently, and their baseball program now celebrates a new college commitment. Senior outfielder D’Marion Terrell has committed to Auburn University, drawing attention after an impressive senior season with the Warriors.

Terrell showcased his power at the plate, achieving a .426 batting average, one of the highest in the county, and driving in 42 RBIs. He recorded 55 hits in 129 at-bats, boasting a .798 slugging percentage and scoring 41 runs during the 2024 season.

Terrell also excelled as a left-handed pitcher, accumulating a 6-3 record with a 2.12 ERA over 46.1 innings. He struck out 38 batters and walked 40, allowing only 31 hits and 20 runs, 14 of which were earned. His performance helped Thompson reach the quarterfinals of the Class 7A playoffs, where they eventually lost to the state champion Bob Jones.

Terrell will now take his talents to Auburn, aiming to contribute to the Tigers’ quest to reclaim the top spot in the SEC under coach Butch Thompson, following a successful high school career in Alabaster.
