Good News: Just In Top Talented CB Commits Florida State Seminoles

### 4-Star Cornerback Names FSU a “Leader” in Recruitment

Class of 2025 four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny, from Heathwood Hall Episcopal School in Columbia, South Carolina, has named Florida State (FSU) as a leader in his recruitment. Konanbanny, who visited FSU officially this weekend, received an offer from the Seminoles on May 10, 2023. His top ten schools list, released on January 1st, includes FSU, Tennessee, Penn State, LSU, Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, North Carolina, and USC.

While predicting recruitment outcomes can be challenging due to the dynamic nature of college football recruiting, Konanbanny expressed a strong preference for FSU after completing his visit. He even had a FaceTime call with former FSU defensive back Jalen Ramsey, enhancing the visit’s significance.

FSU’s defensive backs coach, Patrick Surtain Sr., has been influential in recruitment, securing four prospects in the 2024 cycle: Charles Lester III, Jamari Howard, Cai Bates, and Ricky Knight III. Though FSU has yet to land any defensive backs for the 2025 cycle, momentum is expected to build. Alongside Konanbanny, FSU is also targeting four-star cornerback/safety Gregory Xavier Thomas from American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida.

Konanbanny’s potential makes him a valuable recruit for the Seminoles. His upcoming official visits to North Carolina, Penn State, and Tennessee will be pivotal, but FSU currently stands out as the leading contender.
