You know when you know. And during his formal visit to Auburn last weekend, Broderick Shull realized Auburn was the right place for him.
The four-star offensive tackle from Bixby, Oklahoma, declared his commitment to Auburn on social media on Friday afternoon. Shull rejected Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and Nebraska in favor of the Tigers. Shull chose to close things down before visiting Texas A&M and Texas Tech, even though he had already paid a formal visit to Nebraska.
Shull, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, is ranked as the No. 192 player, No. 20 offensive tackle, and No. 6 player from Oklahoma in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. Shull is ranked No. 9 overall and No. 30 among offensive tackles in Oklahoma by 247Sports. Shull was a primary goal for Aubun and offensive line coach Jake Thornton.
After his formal visit last weekend, Shull remarked, “This was definitely the experience I needed to kind of make my decision much easier.” “I think one part that worked well was getting more of the college vibe. It was also a nice experience to see everyone again. Meeting the players was crucial since it allowed me to determine whether or not I would be a good fit by seeing them off campus. And these guys fit me really well; they’re pretty fantastic. They’re mature, responsible guys.
With Shull joining Top247 offensive tackles Tavaris Dice and Carde Smith, 3-star offensive tackle Spencer Dowland, and 3-star interior offensive lineman Tai Buster, Auburn now has five commitments along the offensive line for the 2025 cycle.
Shull’s promise is the second in as many days for Auburn, which received a commitment on Thursday, just after 4-star cornerback Donovan Starr left on his official visit. Auburn, which is ranked ninth in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings, has up to 13 commitments in their class.
