Breaking: Eagles Hit With Another Major Setbacks As Top Experienced Satr Confirm He Wants To levae And Reject New Deal

Jason Kelce’s Retirement Allows for More Fun at WrestleMania Than Teammate Lane Johnson

WrestleMania XL took place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia over the weekend, featuring a surprise appearance by two Eagles legends. During a match involving Rey Mysterio, Andrade, Santos Escobar, and Dominik Mysterio, two large luchadores emerged from the crowd, assisting the good guys.

After Rey Mysterio secured the win, the luchadores revealed themselves to be recently retired Eagles center Jason Kelce and veteran offensive tackle Lane Johnson, eliciting raucous cheers from the crowd.

ProFootballTalk reported that the Eagles were aware of Johnson’s participation in the event. Upon reviewing the footage, it becomes clear that Kelce, now free from the restrictions of an NFL contract, took on the more physically demanding roles. While Johnson grabbed a chair from Dominik Mysterio, Kelce slammed him into the ring post and threw him back into the ring.

ProFootballTalk noted that NFL and professional wrestling have intersected before. For instance, in 2007, the Titans successfully sued cornerback Pacman Jones to prevent him from participating in wrestling events during his suspension.

Johnson, still under contract with the Eagles, is likely bound by similar constraints. Kelce, however, is retired and thus was able to engage more freely. His athletic leap over the top rope during the post-match celebration hints at a potential future in WWE. If his brother, Travis Kelce, also decides to retire from football, the Kelce brothers could form a formidable tag team in wrestling.
