The 6-foot-0.5, 190-pound Jaden McDonald chose Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide over 27 other offers, including from Georgia, USC, and Oregon. The Santa Ana, California native is the seventh-ranked prospect in California and the ninth-ranked cornerback nationally, ranking as the No. 76 prospect in the 2025 class according to 247Sports Composite.
McDonald is the 12th commitment in Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class, which ranks eighth nationally per 247Sports, and the first cornerback in the class. He joins his Mater Dei High School teammate Abdoull Sanders Jr. (LB), who committed to Alabama in March.

Derrion Reid helped the USA win the u18 FIBA Americup, playing as the sixth man and logging almost as many minutes as the starting wings.
