Official Longhorns News: Stephen Sarkisian Confirm Major Boost With The Commitment Of Another Top 5-Star CB

**Three-Star CB Caleb Chester Commits to Texas**

The Texas Longhorns have secured a commitment from three-star cornerback Caleb Chester, who chose Texas over Arkansas, TCU, and Texas A&M.

As the official visit season kicks off, commitment season is also approaching. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff hosted their first group of official visitors over the weekend, and today they reaped the benefits. Fort Bend (TX) Marshall cornerback Caleb Chester was among the recruits visiting and has now committed to the Longhorns.

Chester, who has nearly 40 reported offers, was scheduled to visit Arkansas and Texas A&M this month after seeing TCU last month and Texas last week. However, after his Texas visit, he decided he had found the right fit and became the first defensive back commitment for the Longhorns’ 2025 recruiting class.

Chester’s commitment brings Texas’ total to eleven for the 2025 cycle, currently ranking them 18th nationally according to 247Sports.

With more official visitors expected in the coming weeks, the Longhorns’ recruiting trail is heating up. The staff aims to secure key commitments before the season starts. Known for their impressive official visit weekends and strong closing skills, Sarkisian’s team is poised for a busy summer.

Chester is ranked as the 71st cornerback prospect in the country and 787th overall according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
