The Houston Astros face a tough decision regarding third baseman Alex Bregman. After signing a six-year, $100 million extension in 2019, further contract negotiations have stalled. Bregman’s performance has been subpar this season, hitting .236/.301/.400 with nine homers and 12 doubles in 276 plate appearances. However, a recent 13-game hitting streak shows his potential value. 1. Atlanta Braves
The Braves might seem an unlikely destination given Austin Riley’s presence at third base. Additionally, the Braves lost Ronald Acuña Jr. for the season due to a torn ACL, creating a void in the outfield. Riley, with 62 games of experience in left field, could shift to the outfield, allowing Bregman to take over third base.
