Breaking: Highly Rated CB Confirm He Wants To Join Texas Longhorns

**Three-Star CB Caleb Chester Commits to Texas**

The Texas Longhorns have successfully landed three-star cornerback Caleb Chester from Houston, beating out competition from Arkansas, TCU, and Texas A&M.

As official visit season kicks off, commitment announcements are starting to follow. Steve Sarkisian and the Texas coaching staff hosted their first batch of official visitors over the weekend, and today, they began reaping the rewards. Caleb Chester, a standout from Fort Bend (TX) Marshall, was among the recruits visiting last weekend. He ignited the excitement by committing to the Longhorns.

Chester, who holds nearly 40 offers, had planned to visit Arkansas and Texas A&M this month, after seeing TCU last month and Texas last week. However, his visit to Texas sealed the deal, making him the first defensive back commit for the Longhorns’ 2025 recruiting class.

Chester’s commitment brings the Longhorns’ total to eleven for the 2025 cycle, with Texas currently ranked 18th nationally by 247Sports.

With more official visitors expected in the coming weeks, the Texas recruiting trail is set to be busy. Sarkisian and his staff have shown a knack for hosting successful official visit weekends and closing on top recruits. Expect more activity as the summer progresses.

Chester is ranked as the 71st cornerback prospect and 787th overall according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
