**Alabama Running Back Commit Considering Auburn**
Four-star running back Anthony Rogers, committed to Alabama since last June, is keeping his recruitment open, particularly towards the Auburn Tigers. Despite Nick Saban’s retirement, Rogers remains committed to Alabama due to the retention of running backs coach Robert Gillespie, but he’s exploring other options due to the coaching changes in Tuscaloosa.
Rogers, from Montgomery, is ranked as the #7 running back in the 2025 recruiting class and the #9 prospect in Alabama. He revealed to Auburn Rivals that staffing changes at Alabama prompted him to reconsider his options.
Last week, Rogers attended a 7-on-7 camp at Auburn and spoke with Tigers’ running backs coach Derrick Nix. “He showed me their offense and how I could fit in. They made it clear they want me at Auburn and are working on setting up an official visit in the fall. It’s a chance to play early,” Rogers said.
Rogers plans to officially visit Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, and Georgia before making his final decision this fall.
