**Former Cleveland Browns OT Geron Christian Joins Tennessee Titans**
Former Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Geron Christian has signed with the Tennessee Titans. Christian, who started the final nine games of the 2023 season for the Browns, has reunited with offensive line coach Bill Callahan. Callahan, who coached Christian at both the Browns and the Washington Commanders, influenced this signing.
Christian was initially signed by the Browns during an offensive tackle crisis. After Jack Conklin was sidelined in week one, rookie Dawand Jones took over right tackle. Jedrick Wills’ knee injury in week eight led to James Hudson III covering left tackle. When Jones suffered a season-ending torn MCL in practice, Hudson moved to right tackle, and Christian stepped in at left tackle.
Christian’s first start for the Browns was in a critical divisional game against the Baltimore Ravens, where he helped secure a 33-31 victory, marking a key turning point for the team. The next week, Christian and Hudson protected rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson, leading to a 13-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Christian continued to protect Joe Flacco for the remainder of the season, helping the Browns reach the playoffs with an 11-6 record despite challenges in run blocking. However, their weaknesses were exposed in the wildcard game against the Houston Texans, where offensive struggles led to a playoff exit.
Bill Callahan’s familiarity with Christian played a crucial role in the Titans signing him. This move follows a previous trade where the Browns sent offensive tackle Leroy Watson IV to the Titans in exchange for a 2024 draft pick, which the Browns used to select cornerback Myles Harden from South Dakota.
