Sad News: Scott Daniel Servais Confirm Another Huge Blow As Seattle Mariners Lose Yet Another Top Experienced Star

**Mariners Lose Ty France to Injured List with Fractured Heel**

The Seattle Mariners have been off to a solid start in the 2024 MLB season, currently leading the AL West with a 36-30 record. However, they faced a setback with the injury of first baseman Ty France during their series against the Kansas City Royals.

France had been experiencing tenderness in his right heel, which turned out to be more severe than initially thought. The Mariners have placed him on the 10-day injured list due to a displaced right heel fracture, according to the Seattle Times. The injury occurred when a pitch hit his back foot on Friday night. Despite the discomfort, France managed to hit two doubles and reach base four times. However, the pain intensified, leading to his removal from the lineup.

The Mariners hope for a swift recovery for the 29-year-old first baseman. France has been a key contributor to the team’s offense, batting .261 with seven home runs and 27 RBI in 61 games, alongside a .732 OPS. His presence will be crucial for Seattle to maintain their offensive strength.

Following an 8-4 loss to the Royals on Saturday, the Mariners aimed to bounce back in the final game of the series on Sunday. The Royals, with a 39-26 record, are second in the AL Central and are set to face the New York Yankees next. Seattle, meanwhile, seeks to continue their strong season.

**Mariners Push Onward Despite Ty France Injury**

The Mariners are in a prime position to pursue a deep playoff run. They hold a notable lead over the reigning World Series champions, the Texas Rangers, and the ALCS runners-up, the Houston Astros. Consistency will be key for Seattle to contend for the title.

Analysts suggest that the Mariners might make a significant trade to bolster their roster. Bob Nightengale reports that rival executives believe this could be the year Seattle makes a bold move at the trade deadline, potentially acquiring Mets first baseman Pete Alonso to strengthen their offense, especially in light of France’s injury.

Alonso, with 12 home runs and a .240 batting average, could provide the power boost Seattle needs. The Mets’ disappointing season might lead them to consider trading Alonso.

Despite the setback, the Mariners are focused on maintaining their momentum as they approach mid-June.
