Kansas State Wildcats Add Defensive Recruit to 2025 Class
The Kansas State football team has bolstered its 2025 recruiting class with the addition of Dalton Knapp, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound edge rusher from Grapevine, Texas. Knapp, a three-star recruit according to 247Sports and Rivals, announced his commitment to the Wildcats on social media on Thursday. He chose Kansas State over other Big 12 schools like KU, Houston, and Utah, and had offers from several other programs including Arkansas State, Boise State, Oregon State, and Washington State.
Quick Decision
Knapp’s decision came swiftly after his recruiting visit to Manhattan over the weekend. He promptly committed to coach Chris Klieman and the Wildcats, canceling planned visits to Kansas and Boise State later this month.
Recruiting Momentum
Kansas State has been on a recruiting streak, with Knapp being the fourth player to commit in the past week. The Wildcats now have six high school players in their 2025 recruiting class, including St. Louis quarterback Dillon Duff, Coppell (Texas) linebacker Weston Polk, Jefferson City offensive lineman Will Kemna, Derby defensive back Martel Jackson, and IMG Academy wide receiver Adonis Moise. This group is expected to grow further in the coming weeks.
