Good News: Just In Dan Lanning Confirm The Signing Of Another Top Talented Star To Bolster Squad Depth

OL Demetri Manning Commits to Oregon

Oregon secured a commitment from Bellevue (Wash.) offensive lineman Demetri Manning on Tuesday after his official visit to the school over the weekend.

Manning’s Decision

Following his visit, Manning canceled his remaining trips and chose the Ducks. He expressed his admiration for Oregon, highlighting the welcoming atmosphere and the coaching staff’s ability to develop players. “Every time I went down to Oregon, there was something new. You can be yourself, and they accept you for who you are,” Manning said. He praised head coach Dan Lanning, offensive line coach A’lique Terry, and coach Mike Cavanaugh for their development skills. Manning also appreciated the town of Eugene and its facilities, stating, “If you go to Oregon, you are set up to succeed.”

Other Schools in Contention

Manning had previously visited UCLA and Washington officially and had scheduled visits to Miami and Arkansas. Although there was speculation that Washington might secure his commitment after his visit there, the Oregon visit solidified his decision to join the Ducks.

Manning’s Ranking and Fit

Manning is a three-star recruit, ranked as the No. 25 interior offensive lineman for the 2025 class by 247Sports, and the No. 4 recruit in Washington. The composite rankings place him as the No. 70 offensive lineman nationally and the No. 5 player in Washington for 2025.

Manning’s Role at Oregon

Under head coach Dan Lanning, Oregon has continued to prioritize offensive line recruitment, a trend started by Mario Cristobal. A’lique Terry played a significant role in Manning’s decision. Manning’s versatility allows him to play both tackle and interior positions, which will be crucial for Oregon as they move to the Big Ten.

Scouting Report on Manning

Manning is known for his physicality and aggressive play. Standing at nearly 6-7 and weighing 345 pounds, with an 83″ wingspan, he excels at left tackle in high school but projects as a dominant guard in college. He is praised for his technique, hand usage, and movement. As a run blocker, he can control an entire side of the defensive line. Scouts suggest that if Manning trims down to around 330 pounds, his quickness would improve, further enhancing his game. With continued development, Manning is seen as having NFL potential.
