**Jayden Loftin, 2025 Edge, Commits to Tennessee Football**
Jayden Loftin, a 2025 edge rusher, has committed to playing college football for the Tennessee Volunteers. As college football teams intensify their recruitment efforts for the 2025 class, Tennessee has begun securing key players. Loftin’s commitment was announced on Wednesday.
Standing at 6’4.5” and weighing 240 pounds, Loftin is a standout from Somerville High School in Somerville, New Jersey. Ranked as the No. 23 edge rusher in the 2025 class by 247Sports, he also holds the 27th overall ranking in the consensus ratings.
He will join a highly skilled group of edge rushers at Tennessee, including future NFL first-round pick James Pearce, who is likely in his final season in Knoxville, and 2024 signee Jordan Ross, who has high expectations for his freshman year.
The Volunteers now have a total of 10 commitments in the 2025 class. The highlight of this group is five-star quarterback George MacIntyre. Head coach Josh Heupel and his staff have strengthened the defensive lineup with Loftin and other key recruits while also adding offensive talents to support MacIntyre.
