Breaking News: Just In Tennessee Titans Confirm The Signing Of Another Top Talented Star

This offseason, the Tennessee Titans took a star player from one of their division rivals, and new head coach Brian Callahan is cognizant of the implications of that.

In March, Calvin Ridley agreed to a $92 million, four-year contract with the Titans. There were rumors that his old team did not even come close to matching the offer, contrary to the expectation of many that the seasoned wide receiver would stay with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In the most recent episode of “The Adam Schefter Podcast,” which was made available on Tuesday, Callahan talked about the Ridley deal. The team’s rookie head coach praised Ridley highly and claimed that losing him to Jacksonville made the situation “a little sweeter.”

“I agree with everything he says. He has true talent and is a pro’s pro. He’s among the better route runners I’ve encountered; he’s incredibly abrupt, quick, and explosive,” Callahan remarked. He also has a wonderful personality. It’s made a little sweeter in that sense to have him here and be able to go steal him from a division opponent.
The Cincinnati Bengals were Callahan’s team in the AFC North for the previous five seasons. The fact that he is already considering strategies to outmaneuver his brand-new division rivals will delight Titans supporters.

With Jacksonville last year, Ridley has 76 receptions for 1,016 yards and 8 touchdowns. He listed one more reason for choosing the Titans, albeit money was probably the primary motivator.
