Breaking News: Vikings Confirm The Signing Of Top Talented Star

The Minnesota Vikings made a move on Monday that they believe would enhance their defensive interior, which is one of their biggest areas of uncertainty.
Jalen Redmond, a defensive tackle, is being signed by the Vikings, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. Redmond was able to join the squad because wide receiver Devron Harper, a UDFA, had been waived earlier on Monday.

Redmond attended Oklahoma for his college football career and was not selected in the 2023 NFL Draft. Following the Draft, he signed a contract with the Carolina Panthers, but the team cut him before Training Camp concluded. After that, in December, he signed a contract with the UFL’s Arlington Renegades, where he played this past season.

Redmond did rack up 4.5 sacks this season with Arlington, placing him just outside the top 10 in the UFL in that category. What’s even more amazing is that he only needed four games to rack up those stats, along with five tackles for loss and eighteen total tackles. That right there is some amazing production.
To be honest, I didn’t watch enough UFL games this season to get a good look at Redmond. Given that OTAs have already concluded, he won’t have much time to make an impact on the Vikings coaching staff. The inside pass rusher Redmond will probably have to fight to secure a spot on the practice squad at Training Camp; the Vikings could use some help in that area.
