Texas Football Lands Commitment from Son of Former NBA Player
The Texas Longhorns secured another top quarterback prospect on Monday, this time Dia Bell, the son of former NBA veteran Raja Bell.
Dia Bell, a five-star quarterback in the class of 2026, committed to Texas, entering his junior season at Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage. Bell is ranked as the No. 3 quarterback in his class by 247 Sports.
He had interest from other top programs including Ohio State, LSU, and Auburn.
Texas is becoming a prime destination for quarterback recruits, having recently landed Arch Manning and kept him from transferring. By the time Bell enrolls, Manning will likely have moved on, positioning Texas well for the future.
Bell might be drawn to the impressive recruiting environment Texas offers. Regardless of the reason, it worked in securing his commitment.
